What are Intermediate Alto Saxophones? – According to the Sax Industry:
The term “Intermediate Alto Saxophones” usually will imply a saxophone that is designed as a saxophone that is a “step-up” from traditional student models. Sadly, many times manufacturers will simply make a few minor modifications to their existing student designs (like adding a High F# key, perhaps a minor change in the neck design & the packaging) in order to offer performance that is better than a student model.
