Mouthpiece is THE MOST important piece of equipment for the saxophone player. Our Kessler Custom line of mouthpieces are designed for specific styles of performance and musicality. Our “Intermediate Rubber” mouthpiece offers a traditional 5M style facing with excellent tone and response!

Our 5M mouthpiece features the same chamber design used on our higher end “New York Short Shank” model which helps give the mouthpiece excellent playability and tonal core. The traditional 5M facing allows for ease of play but still gives the player the room needed to push for more power when they need it. Our 5M offers exceptional versatility for the player who needs to do a little bit of everything with their performance styles.

Ligature
We have made special arrangements with Rico to be able to provide their high performance “H-Ligature” (gold plate, with fitted cap) with this mouthpiece. In retail stores, this ligature and cap have a retail value of OVER $60 – but is included for FREE with our mouthpiece! This ligature is a modern design based on the vintage Harrison ligatures and offers excellent reed vibration while maintaining a good reed seal and a warm tone. This ligature is a GREAT improvement from standard ligatures giving longer reed life (from lack of center pressure on the reed) and a richer tone with greater presence to your sound.

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on our 5M alto sax mouthpiece. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).

In order to protect the mouthpiece against scratches & marks when testing, we install a tooth patch before shipping. You are responsible for the condition of the mouthpiece while you are testing it. We highly recommend testing with a fabric style ligature to reduce the risk of scratching. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.

Rico H-Ligature The Rico H-Ligature is a modern day replica of the vintage Harrison ligatures. This ligature offers good reed seal in the four corners of the reed and is very easy to use. The give good tonal flexibility and performance. Includes a plastic cap that is vented and has rubber rails so that the cap fits securely on the ligature with no chance of sliding off when stored in case. FREE with our 5M Alto Sax Mouthpiece!!! Rovner VERSA The Rovner VERSA replaces the old Eddie Daniels model. The ligature seals the reed on the outside edges to leave maximum vibration from the center of the reed. Includes 2 weights for the reed pressure plate, the VERSA gives a total of 6 reed contact combinations so that you can dial in the sound that you want.
