Selmer Paris Density Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece

The Density Alto mouthpiece is the latest model in the new generation of Selmer Paris classical mouthpieces. Designed as a hybrid between the Concept and the Claude Delangle, the Density brings players a more affordable version of this new performance style, that does not sacrifice performance. Featuring the same round chamber and almost identical facing as the Concept, but with a slightly more traditional beak design from the Delangle, the Density alto sax mouthpiece affords great control and tone.

Made on the same 5 axis CNC machines of the rest of the Selmer line, the Density alto sax mouthpiece yields great performance consistency and reliability for the modern saxophonist.

Facing: 1.55mm tip (.061″ tip) with 24mm length

Modern S80 C*: 1.55mm tip
Modern S90 180: 1.45mm tip
Modern S90 190: 1.55mm tip
Delangle: 1.65mm tip

So effectively, the Density uses the chamber design of the Concept/Delangle, with the facing of the modern S80 C* and the beak of the Delangle. Its a hybrid of all of the best models of Selmer’s symphonic designs!

Trial & Return Policy

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on any in stock mouthpiece. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition). Before we ship any new mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from irreparable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece without fear of damage. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece.
