Cocobolo Wood
The Model Q Backun Bass in Cocobolo is an stunning instrument to behold and to play! However, Cocobolo is a bit more sensitive compared to traditional Grenadilla. Cocobolo provides an easier response with an overall sweeter, broader tone. As result, Cocobolo will require diligent care and maintenance by the player, but will give easier response throughout and a sweet, broad tone that is truly unique, especially for a bass clarinet!
