The Backun Q Series A Clarinets offer those who prefer a more traditional French-style instrument the chance to experience the world of Backun. The Q Series combines modern manufacturing techniques and treatments, including a carbon fiber middle joint ring, with naturally unstained woods and brilliant silver-plated keywork to produce an instrument with truly familiar feel and playability. Inline trill keys move the tone holes out of the waterline while the Backun proprietary manufacturing process ensures a precision bore and perfectly sculpted tone holes that produce impeccable intonation and response. Even more impressive though is when these features are combined with the spectacular performance of Cocobolo wood. Lighter in weight than Grenadilla, this wood helps the Backun Q Cocobolo A Clarinet perform with a response and tone that is unmatched by traditional A clarinets on the market!
2nd Generation Bore Family
The Q Series clarinets offer players a new standard and expectation when it comes to professional clarinets. Features that are more common on custom level instruments at a price point more in line with traditional pro models, the Backun Q Cocobolo A Clarinet is once again raising the bar with the new 2nd Generation bore family released in 2021! With a completely redesigned acoustic bore based around the Custom Series Lumiere model, including Lumiere Bell and Lumiere Barrels, the Backun Q Series A Clarinets offer unparalleled performance value.

Professional Setup
Every Backun Q Series A Clarinet we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. Sometimes, a clarinet (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours!
This is why we perform our setup (in our www.ClarinetRepairs.com ProShop) on your new Backun Model Q Clarinet before delivering it to you. You trust us with your purchase and we want to make sure that you are rewarded by giving you your new clarinet setup flawlessly!
