Lightly Used Yamaha YCL-450NM Duet+ Clarinet

Lightly Used Yamaha 450NM Duet+ Clarinet
Made in Japan – Unique Injection Molded Bore to Prevent Cracking

When Yamaha designed the YCL-450 Series clarinets, they conceived it as an instrument that a player just starting out, would want to continue playing well into the future. Part of that concept revolved not only in performance characteristics, but also addressing the durability issues inherent with student musicians using a wood clarinet. To address this concept to its fullest potential, Yamaha released the Duet+ Clarinet concept.

Lightly Used
This Yamaha Duet+ clarinet was used as a short term rental but is otherwise in perfect condition. There are little to no signs of use. However, as our rental season is now effectively over, rather than let this clarinet wait to rent out next school year, we are offering it as an excellent value for purchase!

If you would rather buy one new, we have those too!! Click Here to purchase a New Yamaha Duet+ Clarinet.

1 Year Shop Warranty
This lightly used Yamaha Duet+ Clarinet has been completely gone through in our Professional Shop to guarantee that it is in perfect setup and regulation. We also include a 1 year warranty covering pads & adjustments through our shop just like we would with a new Yamaha instrument!

Duet+ Clarinet Bore
The Yamaha 450NM Duet+ Clarinet utilizes the same bore and key design of the intermediate YCL-450 clarinets. With the Duet+ Clarinet, the upper joint has the wood intentionally over-cut with both it’s bore and tonehole diameters. This upper joint is then injected using a Thermoplastic ABS resin so that the entire bore of the upper joint (clarinet & toneholes) are one solid piece of ABS plastic. However, since the exterior of the joint is Grenadilla wood, the player receives both the performance of a wood clarinet but with the enhanced durability from the plastic bore. The execution of this concept and this particular instrument is one of the primary reasons that we wanted to become Yamaha dealers! The Yamaha Duet Clarinet is one of the most impressively manufactured intermediate clarinets on the market!
