Please note that this oboe is setup with a fully automatic octave mechanism. This means that you do not have the side octave key and instead you continue to use the standard octave key as the mechanism will automatically adjust to whichever note you are playing. The oboe is also equipped with a “third” octave key as well.

The Howarth oboes are the current best offering for players & parents who are in need of a high quality oboe but need to be conscience of the price. Howarth oboes are manufactured in London using exceptionally well seasoned Grenadilla wood and are built with impeccable quality. The Howarth S45C is based on the bore of the popular S40C model but with a heavier wall for a darker tone. This particular Used Howarth S45C that we have available also has a fully automatic octave mechanism.

About this Used Howarth S45C Oboe
This particular used Howarth S45C oboe (Serial number: D0728) was hand selected at the factory by the previous owners professor at the time. This instrument has been cared for well and has been completely serviced in our shop to ensure that it is in great playing condition. It does have a fully automatic octave mechanism as well as the triple octave key. We are including a 6 month pads & adjustments warranty with it.
