Bach 19072X Stradivarius Trumpet
Commercial Player’s Dream!
The new Bach 19072X is the replacement for the Bach Commercial Series Trumpets. The 19072X is the result of testing with top artists to create a trumpet with the hallmark Bach sound and the sizzle that commercial players love.
The lightweight nickel inner slides and nickel upper balusters in the two-piece valve casing help keep the sound from breaking up, even at extreme dynamics. The true French bead bell offers unparalleled projection. It also has some of the most iconic features from the best vintage Bach trumpets, including Mount Vernon-style bell construction and New York-style cast nickel Z braces, and combine them with a modern and consistently precise leadpipe.
Bach’s Research & Development team examined the most famous horns in Bach’s history to identify the optimal weight, construction, material, and assembly of Bach’s valve cluster. As a result of these efforts, they have produced a newly designed valve cluster delivering a faster response and a more vibrant sound.
“Every Bach 19072X Trumpet is completely inspected and tested in our Bach ProShop to guarantee it’s quality. Any Bach that does not meet our standards is sent back to the factory.”
Dave Kessler
Additional Information
Body Design
The 19072X is built on an ML .459″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, lightweight nickel inner slides, brass outer slides, and brass valve guides.
Bell Design
The Mt. Vernon weight, side seam #72 bell in yellow brass features a true French bead, made with techniques and materials not used since the 1950s. The French bead provides exceptional projection that throws as much of the sound forward to the audience as possible. The wide wrap nickel Z braces are paired with the large #72 bell for a broad, sizzling sound that can soar over even the loudest bands or amps.
Leadpipe Design
A #43 leadpipe in gold brass and lightweight nickel inner slides combine with the Mt. Vernon weight, French bead bell to create a brilliant and electric sound.
Kessler’s Bach Screening Process
Bach trumpets are made by hand. Even with the improved manufacturing techniques that Bach returned to, this inevitably will create some variance. So with every Bach 19072X that comes in our shop, Dave Kessler personally inspects every single one.
He checks for structural defects, cosmetic defects and assembly defects. The vibration of the instrument to ensure that the trumpet is a responsive horn. If a Bach 19072X is assembled poorly, this results in unnecessary stress in the solder joints that actually hinder vibration and in turn, negatively affects the performance of the Bach trumpet.
The most important test of the trumpet for Dave is the vibration test. If a horn doesn’t vibrate well itself (outside of even playing the horn), then it will not be a great playing trumpet.
If a Bach 19072X fails ANY of our tests is sent back to Bach, period.
