Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature

Yanagisawa makes the highest quality saxophones in the world. They also manufacture a few select custom saxophone accessories that can be hard to find and that many players do not know even exist! The Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature is one of the most amazing performing ligatures on the market, yet is also one of the most difficult to find! So we always make sure to keep these amazing ligatures in stock!

Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature
This ligature is made from a “special copper alloy that combines flexibility with strength” (from Yanagisawa’s website). They are an inverted ligature and offer minimal reed and mouthpiece impact allowing for maximum vibration for the best response possible! These ligatures are available only in one size and only for hard rubber mouthpieces.

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on the Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature in either Gold or Silver. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).

If returned, the item must be returned in original condition with all original packaging.

The Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature is available in either silver plate or gold plate. The gold plating obviously adds on to the cost but many will ask whether it makes any difference in the performance. Honestly, we do not find a difference in the finish, but Yanagisawa claims that there is… however, since most saxophones are gold in color, we usually lean towards the gold plated models anyways for nothing more than aesthetic reasons.

The Yanagisawa Custom Alto Sax Ligature is also available for special order in Yanagisawa’s “Pink Gold” plating (a mixture of 80% gold and 20% silver that gives the gold a pinkish hue).
