651/3 Wave Model
This specific piccolo is a Hammig 651/4 model. The “651” indicates that it is a Philipp Hammig Piccolo model in Cocus wood. The “4” indicates that it features Solid Sterling Silver keywork (which is indicated on the piccolo with a “925” stamp on the bottom of the G# paddle). It is setup with a “Reform” model headjoint meaning that it is the standard sized with a Wave embouchure. This model is also equipped with a Split E mechanism as well as the Hammig High G# mechanism. Finally, it is padded with Straubinger pads.
Professional Setup
Every piccolo we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on the flute is of the utmost importance! We setup every piccolo, regardless of brand or price, to an adjustment standard that is in line of professional piccolos. This Hammig piccolo is setup with Straubinger pads and requires a superior technician, trained in Straubinger pads to properly regulate them. We are a certified Straubinger shop and know how to make this piccolo sing!
