A Vintage Selmer Paris bass clarinet is one of the most wonderful playing bass clarinets ever made. Although most professionals have migrated over to newer Low C equipped instruments over the past decade, for most players, this vintage Selmer Paris bass clarinet is more than they will ever need. Handmade in the Golden Era of Selmer Paris craftsmanship, these instruments compete on the highest levels regardless of age or price.

About Bass Clarinet Serial P4524
This vintage Selmer Paris bass clarinet was made in 1953 and is really good physical condition. We have gone through and performed a “playing condition” service in our Official Selmer Paris ProShop to ensure that the instrument is in good playing condition. This bass clarinet comes with 2 necks: the original and an unmarked neck that the previous owner claims is an early Bay neck. This second neck has only “22” marked on the tenon and no other markings. While we cannot confirm that it is a Bay neck, it is of the more modern neck angle and we do feel that it is the better performer of the 2 necks. Original case and peg are included with the instrument.
