Integrated Acoustic Bell
One of the most amazing feats of the YDS-150 is the combination of the Integrated Bell Acoustic System. This brass bell on the bottom of the instrument helps to emulate some of the feel and response more in line with an actual saxophone. You can feel the resonation of the instrument more like a traditional saxophone as a result.

Saxophone Key Layout
The Yamaha Digital Saxophone is keyed like a saxophone! This means that there are no new fingerings to learn. Just pick it up and play it like you would your regular saxophones!

Immense Sound Library
The YDS-150 includes 73 different digital sounds to choose from! There are of course all of the acoustic saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) but there is a large library to choose from. In addition, you can create up to 20 preset customized sounds just for you!

Integrated Smartphone App
The Yamaha Digital Sax includes a dedicated app that can be downloaded free of charge from your favorite app store! Currently available for both iPhone and Android, the app enhances the performance of the YDS-150 and expands your ability to create unique sounds just for you! There are also many additional settings in the app that are more intuitive to edit your Yamaha Digital Sax’s unique sounds even further!

Headphone Jack for Private Practice
With all of the awesome features for digital performance, the addition of a simple headphone jack allows you to practice quietly and privately. The perfect sax for practice in environments where noise level is an issue! You can also line-in music while you are using headphones using the convenient AUX port so you can jam with your favorite music through your headphones all while staying quiet to the rest of the world around you.
