The Yamaha YAS-875EX Custom Alto Sax is an improved version of the proven classic, the Custom 875. The Yamaha YAS-875EX saxes are the result of decades of painstaking research and trials involving some of the world’s greatest saxophonists. They feature a smooth response and a deep, refined sound full of rich colors. They also feature a solid feel with quick and nimble action, a wide dynamic range, stunning projection, and an authoritative tone with a beautifully defined total core.

Originally released with the Custom G1 neck, the Yamaha YAS-875EX was later enhanced with the current standard Custom V1 neck. The Custom V1 alto saxophone neck is handmade and offers highly accurate intonation with an improved response.

While we do not sell Yamaha models new, every now and then, a used Yamaha YAS-875EX will come to us for sale & will be listed here.

This Yamaha YAS-875EX alto sax came to us in mixed condition. While the body was in fairly good condition, the original Custom G1 neck was severely damaged. So we replaced it with a brand new Custom V1 neck as is the standard today. The horn has then been completetly disassembled and serviced in our shop (roughly a $250 job) to ensure that it is in marvelous playing condition! Original case is included. No mouthpiece.

We know how personal buying a musical instrument can be. Players have an obvious concern with shipping a sax from out of state that you haven’t even had a chance to try. This is why we give you a 3 day in home trial period.

Once you receive the sax, you then have 3 days to evaluate it in the comfort of your own home to make sure that it is the perfect instrument for you. To be blunt, if you get this Yamaha YAS-875EX, you are not going to send it back due to the care that we have put into making this instrument the great value that it is. However, if you are not 100% satisfied with it, you simply let us know within the 3 days and then send it back for a full refund under the terms of our policy (click here for the full policy).
