Pearl Flutes began 50 years ago as a small group of talented craftsmen with the desire to create instruments of the highest quality and performance. With a spirit of innovation as the guiding philosophy for their company, and five decades of excellence, each generation of craftsman has handed down the techniques and expectations for perfection. In celebration of the Pearl 50th Anniversary, a small number of flutes are made available at all levels. To celebrate the excellent performance in the intermediate market, a special edition Pearl 50th Anniversary 665 Quantz Flute has been created.

The Pearl 50th Anniversary 665 Quantz flute features the same overall body as the traditional 665 Quantz models but with additional engraving and a special 50th Anniversary branding. However, the biggest feature of note in the Pearl 50th Anniversary Quantz flute is the unique use of a Wood Lip plate on the Solid Silver Headjoint. The headjoint is made from Zircote wood. Zircote wood used on the lip plate has a very earthy and luxurious tonal response that stands apart from all other Pearl Flute headjoint options and is especially appealing for use in world, period, and jazz genres.

The headjoint is paired with Pearl’s more traditional Largo style headjoint cut which follows with the mellower & earthy tone produced from the Zircote lip plate. The pairing is exceptional providing a uniquely sweet tone and a light response that is sure to please.

Professional Setup
Every Pearl 50th Anniversary 665 Quantz Flute that we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on your flute is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, an instrument (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours!

This is why we perform our setup in our ProShop on your new Pearl 665 Quantz Flute before delivering it to you. You trust us with your purchase and we want to make sure that you are rewarded by giving you your new flute setup flawlessly!
