As a company, we always fight to provide the customer with the best value. In the string market, this fight sometimes seems an uphill battle as the industry tends to be stacked against the consumer. This has led us to develop our own line of performance series orchestral stringed instruments under the name “LaChambre”. Named in honor of a long since retired technician in our shop, these instruments offer unparalleled value. The VL04 is our newest performance level Step-Up Violin with value still in mind.

VL04 Series Step-Up Violin
The LaChambre VL04 Series is made exclusively for Kessler & Sons Music. Here, we are dealing direct with workshop in China to put together a performance value that is unmatched. Rather than go through a middle-man luthier in the US, we go direct, working with our facility that we have used since 2022 to offer a better performance value. The instrument is fully hand-carved from naturally dried Spruce (for the top) and Maple (for the back and sides) – not kiln dried – so that the instrument offers performance and druability. We then expertly setup the violin in our shop with our luthiers to our specifications.

Braided Carbon Fiber Bow Included!
Beyond the violin, your bow is of the utmost importance. At this price point, the violin alone will surpass the competition. However, we want to offer our customers more than just a great violin – we want a great outfit. So with our direct to the factory relationship, we pair the VL04 Series Step-Up Violin with a Braided Carbon Fiber Bow – a $99 sale price value (though it will compete with bows in the $300 – $400 price range!). This bow offers exceptional balance, strength and durability. Natural horse hair is used and the bow is well balanced and plays with ease.

Desert Aged
Being based in the desert of Las Vegas, we have a very unique ability to let instruments “age”. As string instruments age and the wood dries, the instrument will improve over that time. However, as these instruments dry in our desert climate of Las Vegas, this process of aging occurs much faster than most areas of the country.

This aging gives you an instrument that is more vibrant, responsive and more stable as a result of this aging!

We do make sure to monitor our instruments and make any necessary adjustments that are needed as a result of this process prior to shipping to you.

In Home Trial
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy on the LaChambre VL04 Series Step-Up Violin. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition). We know that you need to be able to test the instrument to make sure that it is the right instrument for you. We carefully package the instrument so that it arrives safely to you.

Please note that when we ship the instrument, we wrap the bridge and the tailpiece in tissue paper so that IF the bridge were to fall down in shipping, no damage occurs to the instrument. We do not ship the violin with strings under full tension but there is enough tension to keep everything in place while in transit. If you do decide to return the violin, please make sure to follow the same guidelines so that the instrument is returned in the same condition it was sent out.
