One of the finest performing artists in the world, Italian Clarinetist, Corrado Giuffredi is a master of many musical genres, including: orchestral, chamber music and klezmer. Raised and schooled in the Italian way, Corrado’s mouthpiece of choice is the Backun Corrado Giuffredi Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece; a mouthpiece that is custom made Pomarico designed to his exacting specifications. Only a select number of mouthpieces are handmade for Corrado each year, all of which have his name and the Backun name etched in the crystal. The Backun CG mouthpieces are individually play tested and picked by Corrado to ensure that his signature mouthpiece meets his signature performance! These are not simply mouthpieces with a different name but rather are mouthpieces that Corrado himself would take on stage!

Available Models
The Backun Corrado Giuffredi Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece is a limited production mouthpiece as only a few are custom made each year. Originally only available in one size (the CG model), the popularity of the mouthpiece has made Backun expand to 2 sizes, the “CG” and the “CG+”. While both models are considered larger on their tip openings (1.19mm on CG, 1.21mm on CG+), due to the nature of the hard crystal material, the Backun Corrado Giuffredi Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece models plays like ones with slightly smaller tip openings than an equivalent opening in a hard rubber mouthpiece.

Trial & Return Policy
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on the Backun Corrado Giuffredi Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
Before we ship any new Backun Corrado Giuffredi Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from unrepairable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece with less fear of damage. However, you can still damage the mouthpiece even with these protections, so make sure to handle it carefully while you are testing it. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
