Backun MoBa Clarinet Mouthpiece
Limited Availability – No Longer in Production
The Backun MoBa mouthpieces were made using a custom “blank” made by Zinner in Germany. Unfortunately, Zinner closed their business in 2018 and are no longer producing any mouthpieces. As a result, all Zinner based mouthpieces are no longer in production. We have limited stock remaining on these fantastic mouthpieces. Get yours before they are all gone!!
The Backun MoBa Clarinet Mouthpiece was designed in collaboration with one of the finest clarinet players on the planet, Ricardo Morales. The two discussed the idea of making the world’s best clarinet mouthpieces but in doing so, had to figure out the answer their mutual question: How do we create a mouthpiece that is tailored to every player? The answer is called “MoBa” – and like the merger of their names in the product line (MOrales/BAckun), the end product combines the performance caliber of the world’s finest player with the manufacturing caliber of the world’s finest clarinet engineer!
The Backun MoBa Clarinet Mouthpiece is played on major concert stages around the world. With a myriad of different sizes and options to choose from, there is surely a Backun MoBa Clarinet Mouthpiece that will blow you away!

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on any in stock Backun MoBa Clarinet Mouthpiece. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
Before we ship any new Backun MoBa clarinet mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from unrepairable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece with less fear of damage. However, you can still damage the mouthpiece even with these protections, so make sure to handle it carefully while you are testing it. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
