Building on the long-standing success of the Soloist hard rubber mouthpiece and the new era of CNC precision manufacturing, the Selmer Jazz Tribute tenor sax mouthpiece embodies Selmer’s commitment to honoring jazz’s traditions while enabling musicians to create their own voice in modern musical genres.

CNC Precision Manufacturing
Each mouthpiece is meticulously crafted using CNC machines designed to uphold high-quality standards. Widely used for years in Swiss watchmaking, these machines ensure perfect repeatability with a tolerance of less than 0.03mm.

After finishing, Selmer uses a 3D optical inspection machine, equipped with a high-resolution camera, to meticulously examine every parameter of the mouthpiece, guaranteeing exceptional manufacturing accuracy.

Blue Tape for Testing
Please note, Selmer is applying a large amount of blue tape to the mouthpiece and the ligature, to prevent scratching in the packaging and during testing. We will remove the blue tape from the mouthpiece and replace it with our own blue tape and tooth patch on the mouthpiece, but will leave the factory blue tape on the ligature. We are requiring customers to leave this tape ON the ligature and mouthpiece during testing so as to prevent damage to the mouthpiece. Should you remove this tape, you will void our return policy, so only do so once you know that you are keeping the mouthpiece.

You are responsible for the condition of the mouthpiece while you are testing it. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return. Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
