Original Lacquer – Completely Overhauled

The Vintage Selmer Mark VII Alto Sax is revered by many as the best saxophones ever made. The Mark VII was the successor to the Mark VI model. While many believe the Mark VII to be not quite the same caliber of sax sax the Mark VI, the Mark VII is actually quite a solid playing horn once you spend the time needed to get it in to great playing condition. The biggest complaint on the Mark VII was the large left hand pinky cluster. While not the best, it is still easy for most players to manage without issue. As a result, many players eventually abandoned their Mark VII alto in favor of finding a great condition Mark VI, which helped to lead to eventual mystique surrounding the Mark VI.

In our experience, once properly rebuilt, the Mark VII alto a great playing sax, worthy of the “Vintage Selmer” mystique! This is just such a horn!

Serial 264,415 – Original Lacquer, Freshly Overhauled
This particular Selmer Mark VII Alto Sax is serial number 264,415 and has almost all of its original lacquer in tact. We have completely overhauled this saxophone to bring it back in to optimal performance. The stock case is included as is a 1 year ProShop warranty! There are a few spots of acid bleed (see photos), specifically 2 spots inside the bell. The saxophone has never had severe damage in its life and plays great!

Overhauled
This horn came to us in need of an overhaul… We have performed a standard overhaul in our Official Selmer Paris ProShop bringing the sax back up to “new” performance condition. We include a 1 year warranty covering all pads & adjustments (through our ProShop).

With this amazing Selmer Mark VII Alto Sax, we know how to pack it safely so that it arrives to you without issue. Once you receive it, you then have 3 days to evaluate the saxophone in the comfort of your own home to make sure that it is the perfect sax for you. To be blunt, if you get this horn, you are not going to send it back. However, if you are not 100% satisfied with it, you simply let us know within the 3 days and then send it back for a full refund under the terms of our policy (click here for the full policy).
