Used Powell 2100 Series Flute
Overhauled in 2016 (Straubinger), 14k Rose Gold Lip
Verne Q. Powell flutes have long be known for professional flutes. In 1993, they released the 2100 Series. Designed to offer a handmade, professional quality Powell flute at a more affordable price, the Powell 2100 Series had a truly unique design with keywork that appeared more “modern” than traditional flute designs. This unique look was combined with a unique key stop mechanism that had the key stop as a flat touch that rests on a tab coming up from the body rib rather than the traditional way of stopping on the body tube itself. The Powell 2100 Series flutes continued in production for roughly 10 years before being replaced by the modern “Handmade Conservatory” model from Powell. The Powell 2100 Series flutes are wonderful performers once they are setup and regulated to perfection.
