Wm.S. Haynes Commercial Flute
Approx 1967 – Completely Professionally Overhauled

The Haynes Commercial Flute is known for its perfect blend of simplicity and performance. Using a very standard “commercial” design, the Haynes Commercial flutes were only available as closed hole, C foot flutes. Common specifications were:

• Solid Silver Headjoint, Body & Keys
• Drawn & Rolled Tone Holes
• White Gold Springs
• Closed Hole
• Off-Set G
• C Foot
• This flute also has a D# Roller!

While this configuration of a closed hole, C foot flute is considered more in line with student flutes, the Haynes Commercial flute models were still a higher end flute with craftsmanship and performance that is more in line with many professional flutes today. This simplistic design of the Haynes Commercial Flute combines with amazing tonal performance to offer a flute that is a favorite with professional woodwind doublers who simply want a great sounding, easy playing flute.

Serial 37,308
This Haynes Commercial Flute is serial number 37,308 and was used by a professional player for most of its life. This flute also has a D# Roller on it. We cannot 100% verify whether this was installed at the factory when new or aftermarket. Regardless of its installation on this flute, the D# roller was done very well and offers an excellent transition to and from the D# for the player.

Overhaul
This flute has been completely overhauled in our Professional Shop (Straubinger Certified Shop). We used a custom pad set made specifically for these Haynes Commercial flute models as they use a slightly larger 17.8mm pad. Most shops would simply use the standard 17.5mm pad and just not worry about the extra gap between the edge of the pad and the key cup, but we prefer to do things the right way. We used a good woven felt pad made by Prestini. This overhaul job has a normal cost of $400.00 and that has already been added in to our sale price.

Warranty
Since this flute has been completely overhauled in our shop, we are also able to offer you a 1 year pads & adjustments warranty (through our shop) just like we would a brand new flute.
