Generation II Changes
The valve casing is the vital “heart” of any trumpet, and in the YTR-8335LAII, it has been revised with heavy phosphor bronze bottom caps for the first time in the Yamaha trumpet lineup. These heavier caps are paired with the two piece valve casing that is becoming the new standard in all 2nd Generation Yamaha pro trumpets. The results include brilliant high notes, accurate pitch, and rich harmonics that raise custom trumpet performance to soaring new heights.

I recently visited the store as Dave Kessler had a few choice horns to test play. I was surprised and impressed by the new Gen 2 8335LA!! I played the Gen 1 about 8 years ago and the Gen 2 plays completely different in all the best ways in my opinion. The “refresh” Yamaha executed on this model is simply amazing. Additions of 2 piece valve block, side seam bell, bronze editions really make the horn respond amazing! These horns are obviously designed for famed studio artist, Wayne Bergeron. Super lightweight and brilliance with a solid core to the sound. Suitable for all styles!! Highly recommend!! Dave Kessler is very knowledgeable about trumpets and hand pics the “cream of the crop”.
