However, Yamaha has in the past offered the dark amber lacquer in limited edition models that is just stunning. Due to that popularity, as of 2024, the Yamaha 62 Alto Sax in Dark Amber Lacquer is now a standard finish as the YAS-62IIIA!

The Yamaha 62 Alto Sax in Amber Lacquer has a unique hand engraving that is done by craftsmen after the amber lacquer is applied. This allows the engraving to enhance the contrast against the brass. After the engraving is performed. a special topcoat is applied to help protect beautiful color.
