The Yamaha 62 alto sax is in its 3rd generation design and offers the highest ratio of performance value in the Yamaha lineup. Featuring the newest 62 series neck design that utilizes a slightly tighter taper bore, the Yamaha 62 alto sax provides a faster response and greater control while allowing a comfortable flow of air so that every player can attain a solid tonal core. The Yamaha 62 alto sax is ideal for the high school and collegiate player who needs reliable performance, great versatility and legendary Yamaha reliability!

About this Used Yamaha 62 Alto Sax #F08321
This used Yamaha 62 Alto Sax is the modern YAS-62III design. Serial number F08321 places it around mid 2020 for production date. It was used very little and the original owner simply had too many horns! While this horn was not bought from our shop new, we have gone through it and performed a full professional setup on it just like we would a new sax. The horn itself is in wonderful condition with only one area of peculiar scratches above the side F pad cup. It looks like someone tried to re-hook a spring using a screw driver as they scratched that area pretty good! You can see that photo by clicking here. Other than that, the horn looks virtually like new!

Professional Setup
Every horn we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on the horn is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, a saxophone (regardless of who the manufacturer) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours! So if you were to get 5 of the same model right out of the box, they will all play different. This leads players to believe that they are “good” or “bad” saxes. The reality is that the one that was the best out of the 5 was likely the one that needed the least amount of work and the “bad” sax was the one that needed 2 hours worth of adjustments!

Once the same 5 saxophones are properly regulated and adjusted to perfection, they become near identical saxophones. Even the pickiest of players would be challenged to pick a true “favorite” horn. However, since most stores do not or even can not perform this setup, the player never knows this and is simply relying on the luck of the draw. This is why we perform our setup (in our www.SaxophoneRepairs.com ProShop) on them before delivering your new sax to you.
