Lightly Used Phil-Tone Mosaic Tenor Sax Mouthpiece – 7*
Made with Theo Wanne | Perfect Condition
Theo Wanne has become known as the pre-eminent mouthpiece maker of the modern age. With his mouthpieces, players get the performance and craftsmanship that they have dreamed of… but that comes at a price, literally! Phil Engleman also has gained a reputation for his handmade hard rubber mouthpieces. So when Phil and Theo came together on a joint product, the results had to be exemplary! Enter one of 3 current “Phil-Tone” mouthpieces from this partnership: the Mosaic Tenor Sax mouthpiece.
Mosaic Tenor Sax Mouthpiece – Phil’s Description:
The Mosaic tenor sax mouthpiece was inspired by the hard bop and colorfully rich ballads of Dexter Gordon. It is not a copy of any piece but could best be described as a cross between a Dukoff Hollywood and a Stubby. The Mosaic tenor sax mouthpiece presents a broad, thick and textured tone. It can safely be said that it has the thickest and most colorful tone of any piece… anywhere. When pushed the Mosaic can become an “In your face” type of piece. It is extremely flexible and always a pleasure to play.

Additional Information
Lightly Used Mosaic Tenor Sax Mouthpiece
This mouthpiece was purchased originally new in May of 2014. The original purchaser thought that he would “grow in to” this mouthpiece but in the end, was not really able to handle the larger tip and chamber concept of this mouthpiece. This player instead opted for Otto Link 4* & 5* models that he could control easier. As a result, this Mosaic tenor sax mouthpiece has sat largely unused and is in fantastic condition. Includes the original Theo Wanne Enlightened Ligature and Theo Wanne’s reed replacer cap. Only 1 reed plate is included (heavy copper).

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on instruments and mouthpieces (excludes special order sizes). There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
