Getzen 490 Series Student Trumpets have been used by many generations of beginning brass players. Although they are entry-level instruments in the Getzen Student Trumpet product line are far more than what other manufacturers consider “student line” instruments. 490 Trumpets are designed to provide musicians with the higher quality sound and performance they want without sacrificing the durability they need.

The 490 Trumpets have the same great features of the 390 Series with the primary difference being the Goldbrass bell for a richer tone. This makes the 490 a warm-sounding, free-blowing trumpet for the player looking for a superior instrument at an exceptional value. Originally, the 490 was offered with or without a first valve saddle. Today, the 490 is only available with the saddle, but many were made without.

So why do we have so many? Simple, we have utilized Getzen Student Trumpets in our local rental market for a long time. However, the needs of our local rental market are changing with many students being provided instruments by the schools and parents purchasing cheap horns online. So combine that with the tariff situation driving cost of imports up, we figured this is the perfect time to sell out some of this inventory! So while these horns have been used and used well, we have continued to service and repair them year after year to keep them in good playing shape.

All of these horns are clean and serviced and ready to play. They all have lacquer wear, previous repair, etc… from being rented in Las Vegas for 25+ years.
