Tim McAllister Soprano Sax Mouthpiece
Vocalise by Hawkins & Backun
It takes a lot to break from tradition… so when an artist with the reputation of Timothy McAllister decides to break tradition, it tends to draw the attention of musicians everywhere. The new McAllister Soprano Sax Mouthpiece is the combination of three of the most respected industry veterans:
-
- Timothy McAllister – Artist
- Richard Hawkins – Mouthpiece Craftsperson
- Backun Musical Services – Manufacturing Expertise
Together, these 3 industry veterans have come up with something truly special in the Tim McAllister Soprano Sax Mouthpiece.
Precision CNC Machining by Backun
All McAllister mouthpieces are crafted on a highly advanced nine-axis CNC machine by Backun Musical Services in Canada. Finished in a unique done-in-one machining program that combines both the milling and lathing processes without the need for a second setup or re-calibration. This results in an exceptionally consistent mouthpiece that stays true to the original design.
TM Vocalise Soprano Saxophone Mouthpiece blends evenness of scale with superior articulation and control throughout the registers. Artists will revel in the comfortable beak shape that reduces fatigue, while encouraging longevity of play. Punchy and robust when needed, the overall character of this classical soprano saxophone mouthpiece provides a warm and attractive tone that is equally at home on the concert stage and in the recording studio.
Tip Opening: 1.12mm (.044″)

Trial Policy
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy on the Tim McAllister Soprano Sax mouthpiece. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
When we ship the mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from irreparable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece with less fear of damage. However, you can still damage the mouthpiece even with these protections, so make sure to handle it carefully while you are testing it. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
Please read our terms & conditions (link at the bottom of the page) for full details on this policy.
