Theo Wanne mouthpieces have been know for their super larger chamber performance and craftsmanship. Arguably having perfected the large chamber mouthpiece design, Theo has now ventured into the more small chamber market that vintage Berg Larsen and Lawton players prefer with the new Theo Wanne BRAHMA Tenor Sax mouthpiece!
The Brahma mouthpiece is a more focused, core sounding mouthpiece compared to his other models. Theo has employed many unique features that combine with each other for a truly amazing mouthpiece that is arguably the most versatile model in his impressive lineup.

New Small “Stadium Chamber” with “Bullet” Transition
Brahma uses a small sized “Stadium Chamber”. The chamber shape is similar to a football stadium to keep a round tone. The small size gives excellent core and projection. This is paired with the “bullet” chamber transition from the end of the baffle in to the chamber. The elongated oval helps the air column transition more naturally into the chamber.
“Twisted-Wall” Sidewalls and “Wave-Baffle”
Brahma uses a modified straight wall chamber design that “twists” into the chamber. This helps funnel and focus the air column. Paired with Theo’s “Wave-Baffle” is a multi-step baffle design that helps add brilliance to the tone without thinning out the sound.
“Shark-Gill” Baffle and Chamber
Theo’s patented “Shark-Gill” design acts as an air-flow disruptor to impact tone. These are the arced lines in the baffle and the indented lines inside the chamber. These help create velocity to the air column without thinning out the sound.
Elliptical Window
Unlike many of Theo’s large chamber models, the Brahma uses a more traditional elliptical window design that further assists in focusing the air stream.

The BRAHMA Tenor Sax Mouthpiece uses the best features of vintage mouthpieces like Berg Larsen & Lawton with their small chamber & flat side-walls, but updates them with Theo’s new design technologies, which is why you will notice the interior looks quite different (more in-depth descriptions on the DESIGN & INNOVATION tab above):
We used the name BRAHMA mouthpiece many years ago on another mouthpiece. However this design is completely new. The two models have little in common, except for the cool name!
