The Pearl 765 Quantz Flute is a well known, solid intermediate flute featuring a Solid Silver Headjoint and Body. However, we like to provide our customers with MORE than just a good flute, we want to provide them a GREAT flute! So we have upgraded these flutes with Pearl’s higher end “Brezza” model headjoint AND had the headjoint 18k Rose Gold Plated! Since the headjoint is the absolute most important part of the flute’s performance, this upgrade makes a radical improvement to the performance of your flute!

About the Rose Gold Plating
First, please note that this Rose Gold Plating is not an option provided by Pearl. This is something that we are doing “after market” on our own. We are using a high end jewelry plating company in California who has experience providing plating for high end saxophone mouthpieces. This plating partner understands the durability requirements for musical instrument plating, which was something that was very important to us. However, we opted to have plating that was over 7 times thicker than saxophone mouthpieces use for exceptional durability. The Rose Gold is an 18k and done using a “Hard Gold” acid-based plating process (much stronger than the traditional cyanide based plating processes used by most platers). Brezza Headjoint Cut
The standard 765 flute headjoint is known as the “Largo” cut, and when you buy a Pearl 765 from almost all other retailers, this is the cut you would receive. While it is a decent intermediate headjoint, the Largo does not provide the more advanced performance characteristics of many flutes being offered today. In order to receive a better headjoint at most music stores, you have to upgrade to the more expensive Pearl 695 Dolce model. So we negotiated with Pearl to allow us to place the higher end Brezza headjoint on to the Pearl 765 Quantz.

The Pearl Brezza headjoint offers a rich, sweet & focused sound on the Pearl 765 flute. By utilizing a slightly smaller design on the back of the blowing side of the lip plate and a lip plate drop off that is not as drastic as the brighter Forza model, the Brezza flute offers a wonderful balance between tonal depth and power. For players that tend to prefer the more American style professional flute design, the Brezza headjoint will impress. So far, the majority of our teachers locally have found the Brezza to be their preference for their more advanced students.

Why Not the Forza in Rose Gold?
Since we have to do the rose gold plating after market, we have to cherry-pick which configurations this make sense on. We have found that while the Forza responds very well to the rose gold plating, in the 765 model, the Brezza responds better in overall tonal change as a result of the plating.
