Kessler Custom 30th Anniversary Handmade Alto Sax
Limited Production | Raw, Un-Lacquered Body & Neck
Since our company was founded in 1989 by Chuck & Becky Kessler, we have always sought to provide our customers with the best service, quality and values in the music industry. Our Kessler Custom brand of instruments is the epitome of that concept and as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of our company founding, we thought of no better way to celebrate this concept than with a new Kessler Custom 30th Anniversary Series of saxophones! This 30th Anniversary Alto Sax is a limited production model with exceptional performance characteristics at an affordable price!
30th Anniversary Alto Sax Concept
Built on our “Handmade Series” platform, our 30th Anniversary Alto Sax employs a modern take on the vintage French design concept. Using the same bore as our Handmade lineup, the 30th Anniversary Alto Sax is offered in only one ultra responsive configuration: Un-Lacquered RedBrass Body with an Un-Lacqured Nickel-Silver neck. While being un-lacquered doesn’t really impact the “sound” of the horn as heard by the audience, it impacts directly the “feel” of the horn to the player! They will feel more vibrant and alive in the player’s hands.
Red Brass Body, Nickel-Silver Neck
We offer our Handmade Series in 2 options normally, one with the body tubing made all out of Red Brass (85% Copper) and the other made from Nickel-Silver. The Red Brass model gives a more focused, centered tonal core whereas the Nickel-Silver model gives a more lively, bigger sound with more edge. Both are stellar options but for our 30th Anniversary Alto Sax, we wanted to combine elements of both.
By keeping the Red Brass body tubing (body, bow & bell), the horn maintains the thicker tonal core. The Nickel-Silver neck adds a little more grit to that core. Then when combined with the un-lacquered finish, the end result is a horn that posses a sweet core with excellent response and projection and one that feels like it wants to leap out of your hands with response! An absolutely killer combination!!
High End Poly-Carbonate Case
We wanted our Anniversary model to be special in every way, not just the horn. So we are offering the horn with the highest end GL Cases Poly-Carbonate “Combi” series case. This case sells for $399 on it’s own and offers a protective, light weight case that allows you to customize the storage capacity of the case. It uses a modular system that allows you to add or subtract the external storage of the case. So what better case to provide with this exceptional horn?!

Professional Setup
Every horn we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on the horn is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, a saxophone (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours! So if you were to get 5 of the same model right out of the box, they will all play different which leads people to believe that they are “good” or “bad” saxes… but the reality is that the one that was the best out of the 5 was likely the one that needed the least amount of work and on the flip side, the “bad” sax was the one that needed 2 hours worth of adjustments!
Once the same 5 saxophones are properly regulated and adjusted to perfection, they become near identical saxophones that even the pickiest of players would be challenged to pick a true “favorite” horn. However, since most stores do not or even can not perform this setup, the player never knows this and is simply relying on the luck of the draw. This is why we perform our setup (in our www.SaxophoneRepairs.com ProShop) on them before delivering your new sax to you. You trust us with your purchase and we want to make sure that you are rewarded by giving you your ideal saxophone setup flawlessly!
