MTS Products is based in Elkhart Indiana and is the most respected case manufacturers in the industry. Known for their quality and affordability, they were the ideal partner for us to work with on this project… a CUSTOM made case for Yanagisawa bari saxes. Why build one custom for Yanagisawa baris? Well for one, we sell a LOT of Yanagisawa baris and also due to the fact that there is not another good, affordable case with wheels that is made to fit the Yani bari on the market currently. We also offer a lower cost Solist branded bari that is copied from the Yanagisawa B901 s we can also use this case for those horns too.

Case Fit
As the title implies, this case was custom fit for this setup. We sent a bari to MTS in order to make this case for Yanagisawa bari saxes. We already loved the outer shell for bari cases that MTS makes (their model 1215V), but we wanted the interior to fit the horn better than even the stock Yani case does.

When MTS was done with the prototype, we had them ship the horn back IN the case… and place the case in a flush box without ANY packing material… all the way from Elkhrt Indiana back to us in Las Vegas Nevada… using commercial ground shipping. Even in a Yanagisawa stock case, without packing, you could not due this and expect the bari to survive. We figured this would be the ideal test to see if MTS had hit the mark…

The MTS custom Case for Yanagisawa baris did exactly what we hoped! Without any support packaging, the bari made it back without ANY issues! Granted, we dont recommend treating any case as a 100% secure thing for any bari… plainly put, bari’s are too large and fragile. But the better case that you have for your bari, the better protected your bari will be over the long haul. This case is the best fit case for Yanagisawa bari saxes!
