Teacher Bio
Dr Carmella Cao is an active performer and music educator in Las Vegas with a variety of projects. On top of her active private lesson studio at Kessler & Sons Music, Dr. Cao is an instructor at the College of Southern Nevada teaching Music Fundamentals and Music Appreciation. Throughout the year she also teaches workshops and sectionals to various music programs across the Las Vegas Valley. Contributing to the local music community, Dr Cao currently serves as the President of the Las Vegas Flute Club.

Carmella’s newest project is working as part of the Argentum Chamber Works, an organization aiming to make chamber music accessible to wide range of audiences. Aside from performing chamber music, Carmella has played with some of the premier Reno, Tahoe, and Las Vegas groups. To name a few, she has performed with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, TOCCATA, the Reno Chamber Orchestra, the Desert Winds, and the Henderson Symphony. She was also a past-featured soloist with the Reno Chamber Orchestra performing the Carl Nielsen Flute Concerto as a winner of the RCO College Concerto Competition.
