Kessler Custom Artist Series Low C Bass Clarinet
2021 Release Schedule
Our Kessler Custom Low C Bass Clarinet (2nd Generation Model) was released in early 2017 and has been the best selling instrument in our store since! However, with this popularity, we have run in to the classic supply & demand problem where the demand has just been too high to meet! This leaves many customers frustrated as they wait for the item to show as “back in stock” on our website only to find them sell out within days and sometimes even within minutes (one batch sold out entirely in 3 minutes)!
So in order to best serve our customers, we have developed our Low C Bass Clarinet Release Schedule so that you can make your plans accordingly and actually get your hands on one of these amazing instruments!
Release Schedule – 2 Pronged Approach
We are able to release a batch of 20-25 bass clarinets roughly each month with each batch containing both our Standard and Midnight finishes. These shipments will be divided up in to 2 different styles of “release batch”. We will alternate between these 2 styles of release with each batch until we reach a time where supply can more readily meet the demand.
Free For All Batch
The Free For All batch (referred to as FFA moving forward) will be released and sold in a First Come, First Served basis. Our website will allow you to sign up for notifications about the bass clarinet on it’s product page. This notification list will automatically notify you when these instruments are back in stock. In order for us to routinely purge this list, we have to actually have product come back in stock! So every other batch, we will release our new shipment on the website for the FFA batch. Everyone on the list will simultaneously receive an email notifying you when the instrument (which ever finish they signed up for notifications) is back in stock.
Once that happens, every customer will automatically be removed from the notification list so that they will not receive future notifications unless they intentionally re-subscribe to it. With the FFA batch release, these can sell out quick with some batches selling out completely in as little as 3 minutes!
Deposit Batch
Deposit batches allow customers to reserve an instrument with a minimal deposit of $550.00 (though customers can pay more if they like). These deposit batches usually pre-sell out in about 2-3 weeks. This way customers, who were ready to buy but missed out on a FFA batch, can still reserve one and have it in about a month’s time. The deposit batches are also available to be reserved by schools using a Purchase Order as well as by our international customers.
Instructions for this will be posted only when the upcoming batch is going to be a Deposit batch. We start accepting deposits immediately after a FFA batch has sold out.
Financing Option
We do offer financing through First Mutual on our website. However, please note that the FFA batch instruments are not eligible for financing. This is due to the inventory allotment system used by our website. If you were to put one in your cart and then select the financing option during the FFA batch, the system will not reserve an instrument for you because the financing is not “instant” and thus, the website cannot consider the payment complete and cannot reserve the instrument.
Deposit Batch instruments CAN be financed.
So What Do I Do Next?
If you are wanting to be on the notification list for a FFA batch instrument, simply go to the product page for the finish that you want (Low C Standard Finish or Low C Midnight Finish) and add your email in to the notification list. You will then receive any updates that we email out about future batches. If we are currently in a Deposit Batch mode, there will be instructions on that page to send us an email to get on the list!
Of course, if you have any questions, please give us a call!
