This double clarinet case comfortably fits one Bb Clarinet and one A Clarinet in a cradle-suspension system. With enough extra space for plenty of accessories, the modular case design allows the player to adjust the position of the blocking to protect the instrument during day-to-day use and unexpected impacts.

Crafted with a fiberglass shell and ballistic nylon cover, the outer case features one large full-size pocket, as well as a smaller pocket for incidentals and accessories. The top handle is well padded and the fully adjustable shoulder straps can be removed, allowing the player to carry the case in briefcase style. It’s time you upgraded your clarinet case. Being woodwind specialists and a repair shop based in the desert, we are huge proponents of humidifying your case for stability for your clarinets. However, when you buy a new case, they are usually rather dry, so when you put your clarinets in to the case, even with a humidifier, the case material itself will absorb moisture fast. So, we recommend “seasoning” your case before you put your clarinet in it.

To help, when you buy a new Backun Marcus Bonna Double Clarinet Case from us, we will put in a fresh, Boveda 72% humidification pack. This way, while the case is in transit to you, it is being pre-humidified for you. We recommend letting the case season for a week before transferring your clarinet to it, but that will be up to you. Note, you do not want to leave the 72% pack inside the case after you put your clarinet in as that is too high of a resting humidity level for your clarinet. Ideally, you want to humidify at 49%, and we recommend the Boveda 49% packs for that.
