The original Vintage New York Meyer Alto Sax mouthpiece is the most sought after mouthpiece in history. They have been used by the finest saxophonists since their creation. Finding these vintage mouthpieces is difficult and then finding one with an original facing still in tact all these years later is even harder! Here, we have an Original Vintage New York Meyer 6M, Medium Chamber, alto sax mouthpiece with an in tact, original facing.
Facing
Using a digital gauge, this mouthpiece measures exactly as a New York Meyer 6M is supposed to: .076″. This mouthpiece shows no signs of being refaced and the facing is solid, measuring at 21mm length using a .0015″ gauge. This is a killer playing piece!! The rest of the mouthpiece is like you would expect for its age. There are teeth marks in the beak of the mouthpiece and the exterior of the mouthpiece is quite worn, hence why the logo stamps are so faint, but the facing, table and internals of the mouthpiece (all the performance sensitive stuff) is great.

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on all in stock mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
When we ship the mouthpiece, we install a install a tooth patch before shipping. However, you can still damage the mouthpiece, so make sure to handle it carefully while you are testing it. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
