Yamaha piccolos are among the most trusted piccolos in the industry. Known for their exceptional build quality, ease of response and impeccable intonation, these piccolos offer players an amazing performance regardless of their level. The Yamaha 32 Piccolo (YPC-32) is a long-time favorite of players of all levels. Made in Japan, the Yamaha 32 Piccolo uses a professional design conical bore for exceptional intonation and balance. This is paired with durable ABS plastic for the body to provide less weight and increase durability. The headjoint is a metal headjoint with an embouchure cut that is designed to be easy to play for all levels of player.

Upgradeable with a Wood Headjoint
Since the Yamaha 32 Piccolo is made in Japan, they utilize some of the same parts as the professional 62 and 8x Series counterparts. Specifically, the headjoint tenon on the body is the same design as the tenons on the professional models. This means that you can upgrade the student plastic piccolo body with a professional series wood headjoint! This fundamentally changes the performance of the piccolo giving you even more performance options. By upgrading to a wood pro headjoint, you can have one headjoint for marching band / outside performance (the metal headjoint) and then another for concert performance (the wood headjoint). This gives you extreme versatility!

Upgrade Today!
Our preferred headjoint upgrade is the pro-style wave cut wood model. This headjoint is the same headjoint that is used on both the 62R and 82R series piccolos. Even better, we have a custom 2 headjoint case option so you can keep both headjoints in the case at the same time. Every piccolo we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on the instrument is of the utmost importance! We setup every piccolo, regardless of brand or price, to an adjustment standard that is in line of professional piccolos.
