Theo Wanne Mouthpieces are regarded as the finest mouthpieces in production. Combining expert craftsmanship and traditional designs with modern technology in manufacturing, Theo has set his mouthpiece line apart from all others. Whether looking for the world’s finest, high performance mouthpieces or looking for high performance on a budget, Theo Wanne Mouthpieces are available for all styles of play and all levels of musician. Originally only available as top-end jazz mouthpieces, the line now encompasses all styles and pricing with the Essentials Collection of mouthpieces.
What is the “Essentials Collection”?
The top end “Signature” line of Theo Wanne mouthpieces utilize high end CNC manufacturing in order to execute some of the most complex designs in the mouthpiece industry. While that is great for quality and consistency, it is not great for cost! So the Theo Wanne Essentials Collection was created to offer the unique designs and quality workmanship of the Theo Wanne line, but in a more budget friendly mindset. Theo’s new Essentials Collection offers models that are both CNC made (metal) and composite models made using Theo’s industry leading “Additive Manufacturing Process” or “A.M.P.”.
The A.M.P. process is a form of 3D printing, but not the typical filament layered 3D printing like other manufacturers use. Instead, Theo’s A.M.P. is a far higher resolution process that is immensely finer detailed and precise than other 3D printing attempts.
Metal models in the Essentials Collection mouthpieces are made on the same precision CNC machines of the top line Signature models. Their designs are less complex allowing for less time in machining than the Signature models, thus lowering their production cost and passing those savings on to the consumer. Regardless of model, material or manufacturing method, Theo’s Essentials Collection of mouthpieces is world’s ahead of any other similar manufacturing style or price point on the market!

A Mouthpiece for Everyone. The Essentials Collection is comprised of 5 models, all designed for an excellent blend of performance, quality and affordability.
- Concert: Designed for classical and band use, featuring a warm round tone, and easy playability. AMP Manufactured Bio-Polymer.
- Jazz: Perfect for most genres of classic and modern jazz. It has medium projection and brightness. AMP Manufactured Bio-Polymer.
- Contemporary: A high baffle, edgy, mouthpiece for when you need lots of projection and edge. AMP Manufactured Bio-Polymer.
- Metal Jazz Fusion: a ‘Fusion’ between the JAZZ and CONTEMPORARY models. It is perfect for straight-ahead jazz, big band, smooth jazz, and other modern styles. CNC Manufactured Brass, Rhodium Plated.
- Metal Contemporary: A high baffle, edgy, mouthpiece for when you need lots of projection and edge. CNC Manufactured Brass, Rhodium Plated.

Trial & Return
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on all in stock mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
When we ship the mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from scratches, but this does not 100% protect them.
We also install a tooth patch before shipping. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece.
