The GAIA tenor sax mouthpiece has a traditional full sound similar to a vintage Otto Link tenor mouthpiece. It is designed for a traditional full and rich sound with very good projection. Also, due to its True Large Chamber, it has an even bigger, fuller sound than the vintage mouthpieces. It is incredibly rich sounding and is both fun and inspirational to play.

GAIA-2 Models
In 2016, Theo transitioned the GAIA line to the new 2nd Generation models, the GAIA-2. The new models feature a slight revision to the baffle design to improve response while maintaining the rich tone that the GAIA Tenor Sax Mouthpiece is known for.

The GAIA tenor sax mouthpiece tends towards a traditional Jazz taste, but is quite versatile. The GAIA tenor sax mouthpiece has a medium roll-over baffle, precision-sculpted inner sidewalls, and our True Large Chamber for a simply huge and alive vintage sound.

With every Theo Wanne mouthpiece, we include a free Free “Heavy Copper” reed plate. Theo includes his standard “Alive” reed plate with each mouthpiece. We then asked Theo to build us a custom, heavier reed plate that we could give away with every mouthpiece. This heavy copper plate gives a richer core to the tone of the mouthpiece and also helps provide better reed sealing for thinner reeds. Just another example of Kessler & Sons Music going the extra step for our customers!
