Vandoren Clarinet Reeds are the most widely played reeds in the world with a superiority proven over the years, these reeds suit all styles of music. The Hand Selected Clarinet reeds are the same as the “blue box” Traditional model reeds but all of the reeds were hand picked for their fiber quality yielding more high performance reed per box than the standard box.

The Hand Selected Clarinet Reeds were discontinued roughly 10 years ago in favor of the newer expanded offerings from Vandoren (V.12, 56 Rue & V21). We have only a few boxes of these Hand Selected Clarinet reeds remaining in our inventory and once they are gone, there are no more left!

Like the Blue Box Traditional models, they are extremely flexible, allowing the legato or staccato execution of large intervals while maintaining a richness of tone that gives body and clarity to the sound, which is a hallmark of Vandoren clarinet reeds. Traditionals feature the thinnest tip with the thickest heart, resulting in crisp articulation with a full, dark sound.

Vandoren clarinet reeds are made in Bormes les Mimosas (Var), France in their facility closest to the Vandoren cane fields. French cane, French design, French sound.
