Yanagisawa is well known for the quality of their saxophones. However, many players are never exposed to the Yanagisawa metal sopranino sax mouthpieces. Frankly, this is due largely to the typical saxophone dealer not realizing what quality and performance value that these mouthpieces offer (plus the fact that many stores can’t even tell you what a Sopranino is!). We on the other hand know exactly what they are and HIGHLY recommend them to our customers!

The metal Yanagisawa metal sopranino mouthpiece uses a very traditional chamber design (square) in order to offer better tonal color than most metal mouthpieces. They are then combined with a good rollover baffle and an excellent facing curved in order to provide brilliance and response without going overly bright. The end result is one of the more impressive playing mouthpieces on the market, built to the artisan craftsmanship level only Yanagisawa can provide – all at a price that is unbeatable!

Yanagisawa Metal Sopranino Sax Mouthpiece is Available in 2 sizes:

5 – .044″ Tip Opening
7 – .050″ Tip Opening

As these sizes are very small and due to the fact that Yanagisawa uses a squared tone chamber on them, we generally recommend the 7 size for most players as it simply allows for more tonal complexity in our experience. We usually keep both the 5 and 7 in stock.

Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on instruments and mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).

In order to protect the mouthpiece against scratches & marks when testing, we install a tooth patch before shipping. You are responsible for the condition of the mouthpiece while you are testing it. We highly recommend testing with a fabric style ligature to reduce the risk of scratching. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
